AN ACT IMPLEMENTING A DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLAN FOR NEW STATE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all new employees entering state service to participate in a defined contribution benefit plan rather than the current defined benefit system.
Statement of Purpose:
To change the state pension system from a defined benefits plan to a less-costly defined contribution plan.
