AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISPENSING FEE FOR INDEPENDENT PHARMACIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-280 of the general statutes be amended to increase the professional fee paid to independently-owned licensed pharmacies from two dollars for each prescription dispensed to a recipient of benefits under a medical assistance program administered by the Department of Social Services to four dollars for each such prescription.
Statement of Purpose:
To help small independent pharmacies by doubling the dispensing fee paid for each prescription filled.
