AN ACT CONCERNING PAYMENT PARITY FOR MEDICAL SPECIALISTS WHO SERVE MEDICAID PARTICIPANTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to raise Medicaid reimbursement levels for medical specialists to the enhanced reimbursement level of primary care providers.

Statement of Purpose:

To achieve payment parity among primary care providers and medical specialists serving Medicaid recipients.
