AN ACT PROHIBITING NONWOOD BATS IN YOUTH BASEBALL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of nonwood bats during any organized youth baseball activity, including middle school and high school baseball games, practices and physical education classes, in which any of the participants are between the ages of ten and eighteen.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce injuries to children playing baseball.
