AN ACT CONCERNING CREDIT FOR EXISTING AFFORDABLE HOUSING STOCK.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to provide municipalities with a process to qualify for a three to five year exemption from the affordable housing land use appeals process, provided an eligible municipality has existing housing stock that is affordable to persons and families whose income is less than or equal to eighty and sixty per cent of the median income.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide smaller municipalities with a process for receiving credit for existing affordable housing stock.
