AN ACT ALLOWING A STATE MARSHAL TO CHARGE A FEE FOR PROVIDING A NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT IN CERTAIN CASES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 78 of the general statutes be amended to permit a state marshal to charge a fee not to exceed twenty-five dollars when he or she is required by law to complete a notarized affidavit.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a state marshal to recoup the costs associated with the provision of a notarized affidavit in certain cases.
