AN ACT EXEMPTING PROPANE GAS USED IN RESIDENTIAL EMERGENCY GENERATORS FROM THE PETROLEUM PRODUCTS GROSS EARNINGS TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-587 of the general statutes be amended to exempt propane gas used in residential emergency generators from the petroleum products gross earnings tax.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce taxes on residential customers that have purchased and installed emergency generators powered by propane gas.
