AN ACT CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR THE SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A MINOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That part VI of chapter 952 of the general statutes, concerning sexual offenses, be amended to provide that any person who sexually assaults a minor under certain circumstances shall be sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole or other release.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide that any person who sexually assaults a minor under certain circumstances will have only "one-strike" and be sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
