AN ACT EXCLUDING REIMBURSEMENTS TO STATE EMPLOYEES FOR MILEAGE AND PAYMENTS FOR OVERTIME FROM THE CALCULATION OF RETIREMENT INCOME.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to exclude reimbursements to state employees for mileage and payments for overtime from the calculation of salary for purposes of determining retirement income.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce the unfunded pension burden on the state by prohibiting the use of mileage reimbursements and overtime payments in the calculation of state employee pensions.
