AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECREATIONAL LAND USE ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 52-557f to 52-557i, inclusive, of the general statutes be amended to extend immunity to municipalities and metropolitan districts that make land available to the public without charge, rent, fee or other commercial service for recreational purposes.

Statement of Purpose:

To encourage municipalities and metropolitan districts to continue to permit the public to enjoy recreational activities on their property by providing such municipalities and districts with immunity from certain lawsuits.
