AN ACT CONCERNING WEDDING OFFICIANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 46b-22 of the general statutes be amended to establish a process that allows a town clerk to issue a one-day wedding officiant designation to a friend or family member who would not otherwise be able to serve as the wedding officiant under the laws of this state.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit more friends and family members to serve as wedding officiants in the state.
