AN ACT CONCERNING SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended with respect to sexual exploitation and human trafficking and the forfeiture of moneys and property after conviction by: (1) Prohibiting the liquidation of moneys or property of an accused trafficker prior to conviction and allowing the superior court to freeze assets of an accused trafficker prior to conviction; (2) itemizing all moneys and property forfeited after conviction and establishing a formula for compensating victims from the proceeds; and (3) requiring truck stops and liquor permit premises such as bars and exotic dancing establishments to post notices of the telephone numbers for state and federal anti-trafficking hotlines.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce sexual exploitation and human trafficking in this state.
