AN ACT ALLOWING CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE TEACHERS' RETIREMENT SYSTEM TO PURCHASE CREDITED SERVICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 10-183e of the general statutes be amended to permit members of the teachers' retirement system who work full-time to purchase credited service in said system for service as a part-time lecturer at a community college.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow full-time teachers to purchase credit for time spent as a part-time lecturer at a community college.
