AN ACT CONCERNING THE QUALIFICATIONS OF CLINICAL PEERS FOR ADVERSE DETERMINATION REVIEWS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require clinical peers with whom health insurers and utilization review companies contract have the same qualifications as "similar health care providers", as defined in section 52-184c of the general statutes.

Statement of Purpose:

To require clinical peers with whom health insurers and utilization review companies contract have the same qualifications as "similar health care providers", as defined in section 52-184c of the general statutes.
