AN ACT CONCERNING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX FOR THE SALE OF SECURITIES TO PAY NURSING EXPENSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-701 of the general statutes be amended to provide an exemption from the personal income tax for the proceeds of the sale of stocks or bonds, where the proceeds of such sale are used to pay for nursing care for a spouse, either in a home setting or in a nursing home.
Statement of Purpose:
To ease the financial burden of providing nursing care for a spouse.
