AN ACT DECREASING THE TIME FRAME FOR UTILIZATION REVIEW AND BENEFIT DETERMINATIONS BY HEALTH CARRIERS FOR URGENT CARE REQUESTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to decrease the time for utilization review and benefit determinations by a health carrier for urgent care requests from seventy-two hours to twenty-four hours.

Statement of Purpose:

To decrease the time for utilization review and benefit determinations by a health carrier for urgent care requests from seventy-two hours to twenty-four hours.
