AN ACT PROVIDING IN-STATE TUITION TO CHILDREN OF IMMIGRANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10a-29 of the general statutes be amended to allow the children of immigrants who have resided in the state for at least five years to attend the public institutions of higher education as in-state students for tuition purposes.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide in-state tuition to children of immigrants who have resided in Connecticut for at least five years.
