AN ACT ELIMINATING LONGEVITY PAYMENTS AND ELIMINATING OVERTIME COMPENSATION FROM THE CALCULATION OF PENSIONS FOR STATE EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to, for all state employees and officials exempt from classified service and applicable to employees included in any collective bargaining agreement negotiated or renewed after the passage of this act, eliminate longevity payments and eliminate overtime compensation from the pension calculation formula.

Statement of Purpose:

To establish more accountability in public employee compensation.
