AN ACT RESTRICTING LONGEVITY PAYMENTS FOR CERTAIN STATE EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 5-213 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit longevity payments for a period of two years to any state employee who: (1) Has managerial duties, (2) is not included in a collective bargaining unit, and (3) earns in excess of one hundred thousand dollars per year.

Statement of Purpose:

To help reduce the state deficit.
