AN ACT EXEMPTING BIOTECHNOLOGY AND BIOSCIENCE START-UPS FROM THE CORPORATION BUSINESS TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to exempt from the corporation business tax for five years any biotechnology or bioscience company that relocates from an academic business incubator facility, partnered with an accredited post-secondary educational institution located in the state, to another site located in the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To help grow and encourage the formation of biotechnology and bioscience companies in Connecticut.
