AN ACT PROHIBITING SMOKING IN A MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN A CHILD IS PRESENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit smoking in a motor vehicle when a person under the age of eighteen is present in such vehicle.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect children from secondhand smoke while riding in a motor vehicle.
