AN ACT CONCERNING THE ADMINISTRATION OF SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
To amend title 17b of the general statutes to transfer the administration of all social services programs established after January 1, 2015, from the Department of Social Services to nonprofit community providers not later than July 1, 2017.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that newly established social services programs are responsive to community needs and efficiently run.
