AN ACT INCREASING PENALTIES FOR SCHOOL THREATS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to provide for enhanced penalties for threatening calls, posts, letters, and verbalizations of school threats by defining minimum jail sentences and increasing fines for such offenses.

Statement of Purpose:

To prevent future school threats by enhancing associated penalties.
