AN ACT CONCERNING DEFINED CONTRIBUTION RETIREMENT PLANS FOR NEWLY HIRED STATE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all state employees and officials hired on and after the effective date of this act to participate in defined contribution retirement plans rather than the current defined benefit system.
Statement of Purpose:
To create a defined contribution pension plan for new state employees.
