AN ACT CONCERNING A DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESS FOR SURPRISE BILLS AND BILLS FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require the establishment of (1) a dispute resolution process by which a dispute over a bill for emergency services or a surprise bill, as defined in subdivision (6) of subsection (a) of section 38a-477aa of the general statutes, may be resolved, and (2) standards to be used in the dispute resolution process.
Statement of Purpose:
