AN ACT CONCERNING PARENT ATTENDANCE AT SAFE DRIVING INSTRUCTION COURSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-36j of the general statutes be amended to waive the two-hour safe driving training requirement for parents or guardians that have taken and can document completion of this requirement with another child within the prior three years.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow parents or guardians who have trained a child to drive within the preceding three years to be exempt from the two-hour training mandate.
