AN ACT CONCERNING A PLAN TO INSTALL FIBER-OPTIC WIRING FOR ALL LIGHTING ON STATE HIGHWAYS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the Department of Transportation develop a systematic plan to replace current lighting on state highways with fiber-optic wiring for lighting.
Statement of Purpose:
To develop a plan to install fiber-optic wiring for lighting on state highways, to increase reliability, expedite lighting repairs, realize cost savings and lessen safety concerns for highway workers.
