AN ACT EXTENDING THE TIMEFRAME FOR THE ADOPTION OF REGULATIONS CONCERNING HYDRAULIC FRACTURING WASTES IN CONNECTICUT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 22a-471 of the general statutes be amended to extend the timeframe for the adoption of regulations concerning hydraulic fracturing waste from not earlier than July 1, 2017, to not earlier than July 1, 2019.
Statement of Purpose:
To extend the timeframe for the prohibition on the storage and disposal of fracking waste in the state.
