AN ACT INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF THE BOTTLE DEPOSIT, INCLUDING TEAS, JUICES AND SPORTS DRINKS UNDER THE BOTTLE BILL AND DEDICATING ADDED REVENUES TO STATE PARKS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to increase the amount of the bottle deposit under the bottle bill from five cents to ten cents, include juices, teas and sports drinks under the provisions of the bottle bill and dedicate any increased revenues to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for maintenance and operation of state parks.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase recycling rates while funding our state parks.
