AN ACT CONCERNING DIVERSITY IN THE MUNICIPAL AND STATE POLICE FORCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapters 104 and 529 of the general statutes be amended to ensure a municipal police department and the state police force make a good faith effort to maintain a police force that is qualified and closely reflects the gender and racial diversity of the population served by such police force.

Statement of Purpose:

To ensure gender and racial diversity in the municipal and state police force.
