AN ACT CONCERNING A HEALTH ZONE PILOT PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Health to establish a health zone pilot program to (1) reduce health disparities among racial and ethnic minority populations and geographic areas, (2) improve health care access and health outcomes in underserved communities, (3) improve access to support and mental health for people in areas affected by violence, and (4) strengthen resilience and support opportunities in communities.

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Department of Public Health to establish a health zone pilot program.
