AN ACT CONCERNING THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGES THAT MAY BE CLAIMED IN A SMALL CLAIMS ACTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 51-15 of the general statutes be amended to increase the amount of money damages that may be claimed in a small claims action from five thousand dollars to twelve thousand dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the money damages threshold in a small claims action.
