AN ACT CONCERNING PROBATE COURT RETIREMENT CREDIT FOR MILITARY AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY SERVICE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (a) of section 45a-54 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any Probate Court judge or employee who is not yet receiving a retirement allowance may apply to the Retirement Commission for credit for service as a member of the General Assembly and for military service, provided credit for such General Assembly and military service shall not exceed five years in the aggregate.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow an individual who meets the requirements of section 45a-54 of the general statutes to credit military or legislative service toward Probate Court retirement eligibility, provided credit for such military and legislative service shall not exceed five years in the aggregate.
