AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF JUDICIAL COMMISSIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 870 of the general statutes be amended to provide that: (1) No Judicial Branch commission shall be established in the absence of specific authorization from the legislature, (2) all existing Judicial Branch commissions shall be disbanded, and (3) all Judicial Branch meetings shall be open to, and allow for, public participation.

Statement of Purpose:

To improve oversight of the Judicial Branch and ensure public participation in Judicial Branch meetings.
