AN ACT CONCERNING DEBIT TRANSACTIONS BY CONVENIENCE STORES AND GAS STATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to restrict convenience stores and gas stations to deducting only the exact amount of a debit transaction from a consumer's bank account, rather than placing a hold or tentative transaction in excess of the exact amount.
Statement of Purpose:
