AN ACT LIMITING THE USE OF ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER CARDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit public assistance recipients from using electronic benefit transfer cards outside of Connecticut and contiguous states unless they have prior approval from the Department of Social Services.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent unnecessary use of electronic benefit transfer cards outside of Connecticut and contiguous states.
