AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE OR DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY BY PAWNBROKERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 21-45 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a pawnbroker from selling for a certain period of time any personal property received by deposit, pledge or purchase that might be stolen property.
Statement of Purpose:
To aid in the recovery of stolen property by requiring a pawnbroker to hold certain property for a specified period of time.
