AN ACT PROHIBITING THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE DISTRICT DEPARTMENTS OF HEALTH OR MUNICIPAL HEALTH AUTHORITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Public Health from consolidating the district departments of health or municipal health authorities.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow for the existing health district structure to be maintained.
