AN ACT REQUIRING A MODIFICATION OF THE CERTIFICATE OF NEED PROCESS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 19a-638 of the general statutes be amended to require a modification of the certificate of need process by allowing for a more contemporary process, leveled playing field and a process that better addresses community needs.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow for a more contemporary care environment, leveled playing field and a process that better addresses community needs.
