AN ACT SUSPENDING THE RENEWABLE PORTFOLIO STANDARDS FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 16-245a of the general statutes be amended to suspend the renewable portfolio standards for a period of five years.
Statement of Purpose:
To lower electric prices by removing the renewable portfolio standards mandate, so that electric distribution companies may purchase wholesale electricity at a lower price.
