AN ACT CONCERNING NUCLEAR AND COAL GENERATING FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to impose a two-cent per kilowatt hour surcharge on the output of nuclear and coal generating facilities in the state and to prohibit the pass through of such surcharge to ratepayers.
Statement of Purpose:
To return a portion of the profits generated by nuclear and coal generating plants to the taxpayers of Connecticut.
