AN ACT CONCERNING HEARING ASSESSMENTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-206 of the general statutes be amended to require health assessments for pupils in grades nine to twelve, inclusive, include hearing screening at twenty decibels, to be increased to twenty-five decibels only if the pupil fails at the lower level.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve identification of and prevent hearing loss among high school students.
