AN ACT CONCERNING VOTER REGISTRATION AT THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require that any person eligible to be admitted as an elector and applying to the Department of Motor Vehicles for a motor vehicle operator's license or identity card be so admitted as an elector, provided such person may opt affirmatively to not be so admitted.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide for a person's automatic voter registration during certain transactions with the Department of Motor Vehicles unless such person opts out of so registering.
