AN ACT CONCERNING FALSE OR MISLEADING ADVERTISING IN THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2017) Any person who advertises the price of alcoholic liquor as being other than that permitted under section 30-68m of the general statutes shall have engaged in an unfair or deceptive act or practice in the conduct of trade or commerce in violation of section 42-110b of the general statutes and shall be fined twenty-five thousand dollars per day for each day of such violation.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To prevent advertising by alcoholic liquor retailers that suggests that discounts are being given for alcoholic liquor regulated by minimum bottle pricing.
