AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSITIONING FROM TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT AND EMPLOYEE BACKGROUND CHECKS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prevent an employer from discriminating against an employee in hiring decisions as a result of the employee's criminal or credit history provided such employee had worked for the employer as a temporary employee for a period of one or more years.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent hiring discrimination for employees transitioning from temporary employment to permanent employment.
