AN ACT CONCERNING THE EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS OF A GUARDIAN AD LITEM IN A FAMILY RELATIONS MATTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 46b-54 of the general statutes be amended to specify that only a person licensed as a clinical social worker may be appointed as a guardian ad litem in a family relations matter.
Statement of Purpose:
To have the best-qualified individual representing the best interests of a child in a family relations matter.
