AN ACT CONCERNING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (a) of section 10-145 of the general statutes be amended to change the requirements necessary for employment as a substitute teacher in a school district from requiring that a person hold a bachelor's degree to requiring that a person hold an associate's degree.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow persons with associate's degrees to be employed as substitute teachers.
