AN ACT CONCERNING RETIREMENT AND HEALTH CARE BENEFITS FOR CERTAIN STATE EMPLOYEES AND OFFICIALS EXEMPT FROM CLASSIFIED SERVICE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to convert all state employees and officials exempt from classified service and hired on or after the effective date of this act to a defined contribution retirement plan and health savings accounts, and to eliminate post-retirement health care benefits for such employees and officials.
Statement of Purpose:
To help reduce the overall cost of the state employee workforce in Connecticut.
