AN ACT ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON STATE-FUNDED SABBATICAL LEAVES OF PROFESSORS OF PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to establish a two-year moratorium on paid sabbatical leaves of professors of public institutions of higher education provided such sabbatical leaves are funded by the state.

Statement of Purpose:

To impose a temporary moratorium on state-funded professor sabbaticals.
