AN ACT MODIFYING ANNUAL REPORTING FEES PAID TO THE SECRETARY OF THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 33-1243 of the general statutes be amended to reduce the annual reporting fee paid to the Secretary of the State by not for profits with a total annual revenue of less than one hundred thousand dollars from fifty dollars to ten dollars, and to increase the annual reporting fee paid by corporations with a total annual revenue greater than five million dollars to a level that will mitigate the loss of revenue from reducing the fee for not for profits.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the burden on small not for profits by reducing the annual reporting fee paid to the Secretary of the State.
